What our Credentials Mean
Every credential below was checked by someone other than us — and each one links to the register or certificate, so you can verify it yourself.
Federation of Master Builders
The FMB is the largest trade body for building firms in the UK. Before we could join, it checked our trading and credit history, our directors and our insurance, then sent an assessor to inspect our work on one of our sites. We sign up to its Code of Conduct again every time we renew.
What it means for you: a builder that has been vetted by someone other than itself, works to the FMB Code of Conduct, and has to take part in the FMB's free dispute resolution service if we ever disagree.
TrustMark
TrustMark is the Government-endorsed quality scheme for trades working in and around people's homes. Registration is only granted after an approved scheme provider — in our case the FMB — has looked at three things: whether we can do the work, how we trade, and how we treat customers.
What it means for you: a Government-endorsed standard, a written Customer Charter, and a clear route to complain and have it resolved if you're not happy.
SafeContractor — SSIP-accredited health & safety
Alcumus SafeContractor assessed our health and safety documentation — such as our policies, risk assessments and training records — against its assessment standard, and approved us as a principal contractor. SafeContractor is one of the schemes recognised under SSIP (Safety Schemes in Procurement), so other SSIP schemes accept the same assessment.
What it means for you: work run to an independently assessed safety system, re-approved every year — and if you're a developer or commercial client, less duplicate pre-qualification.
Environment Agency — registered waste carrier
Any business that moves building waste in England has to be registered with the Environment Agency, and we hold an upper-tier registration. Waste leaving our sites is carried under that registration to a licensed site, with a waste transfer note for each load.
What it means for you: if waste from your job is dumped by an unregistered carrier, the homeowner can be fined for it. Using a registered carrier is the check the law expects you to make — and you can ask us for the transfer note for any load.
Local supply chain
This one isn't a certificate — it's how we run our jobs. Our trades, merchants and specialist suppliers are based in and around London, and we've worked with most of them for years.
What it means for you: materials arrive when they're meant to, a problem on Tuesday gets fixed on Tuesday rather than next week, and fewer lorry miles go into your project.
